When he was in grade school he made a cicada paperweight by using a dead cicada body to make a mold for a some sort of “polymer crap” to be poured in that hardened and produced a life sized clear cicada.
I was married to him for over a year before I found this out. Consider yourself lucky that you are learning it so soon.
That picture is not the paper weight. I wonder where it is now? It seemed pretty indestructible… it probably will be around much longer than I am in this world.
